Brandon Whiteman

Employee Benefits Consultant, Partner

Brandon Whiteman is an experienced and passionate Employee Benefits Consultant and Partner. He has dedicated the past ten years of his career to helping businesses navigate the complex world of insurance benefits in order to get the best coverage for their employees. Brandon has a Bachelor’s Degree from UCF and is a graduate of LOM, where he currently serves as Chair on the Board for CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion.

No two days are ever the same in this line of work, but Brandon finds great reward in providing personalized strategies for each business he works with, including compliance, technology, and overall benefits packages. At the end of the day, his goal is to make a positive impact on each business and community he serves.

Outside of work, Brandon’s family is his biggest priority; he resides in Ocala with his wife Brittany and their two children. When he isn’t busy supporting them at various sporting events, Brandon enjoys staying active by playing any sport outdoors or coaching when needed.

Tully Gilligan

Employee Benefits Consultant, Partner

Tully Gilligan is an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant and Partner specializing in facilitating employer’s access to the right benefits packages for their staff. With a strong educational background, graduating with a Bachelor of Accounting in 2014 and a Masters in Business Administration in 2015 from Millsaps College, Tully has established an impressive career based on navigating the complexities of group health insurance. He currently holds a Florida 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuities Agent license. His exceptional skillset enables him to build invaluable relationships with his clients while providing guidance when it comes to selecting the best healthcare solutions. When away from work, Tully enjoys living his life as an active community member who has been residing in Ocala, FL for 30 years now – he is never one to miss out on seasonal intermural sports and golfing all year round. In his free time, he also cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.

Kendall Stump

Account Executive

With a professional background outside of the insurance world, Kendall brings a combination of analytical skills, a passion for service, and a fresh perspective to the team at Apex Insurance Advisors. After spending much of the last decade in Austin, TX, working for the state crime laboratory, she has returned to her hometown of Ocala. She is dedicated to supporting the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality client services.

Kendall graduated as valedictorian from Vanguard High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in forensic science from the University of Central Florida, and is currently pursuing additional professional certifications to continue expanding her skill set.

Outside of work, Kendall is passionate about fitness and wellness, loves traveling with friends, and values catching up on quality time with her family.

Summer Wooten

Account Executive

Summer Wooten brings over seven years of leadership experience in business operations, team development, and client service. Prior to joining the insurance industry, she served as an Administrative Director for a multi-unit restaurant management company, where she specialized in organizational leadership, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Her passion for helping people, building relationships, and solving complex challenges led her to pursue a career in employee benefits and insurance. 

Known for her strong work ethic and commitment to serving others, Summer takes pride in helping businesses navigate their benefits options while creating positive experiences for both employers and employees. She believes that every client deserves personalized attention, clear communication, and solutions tailored to their unique needs. 

A lifelong resident of Ocala, Florida, Summer is deeply connected to her community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her four children, supporting their activities, volunteering at their school, and creating meaningful family memories. Her dedication to both her family and her clients is at the heart of everything she does. 

Keeley Plunkett

Director of Marketing

Keeley brings over a decade of expertise in branding and marketing, specializing in digital marketing, advertising, and creative design. With a Masters in Business Administration, she combines strategic insight with a creative approach to build compelling brand identities and drive impactful campaigns. A former collegiate athlete, Keeley applies the same discipline and competitive spirit to her work, helping businesses enhance their digital presence, engage their audiences, and achieve measurable success. When she’s not crafting marketing strategies, she enjoys spending time with her family in Ocala.
